I'm Not Egyptian!!

"So, you want to go back to Egypt," he said. The dissapointment was evident in his voice and written all over his face. He never was good at hiding his emotions.

"I find that their chains are, in a strange way, comforting. Life with you is scary, unpredictable. What can you promise me?"

"The same thing I promised you ages ago. Freedom."

With that, he turned and walked off. Though, not too far. He never left my sight. He just waited and watched. He beckoned me to come and die, to follow him without returning to my Egypt, my place of slavery.

Taking the plunge, responding to his invitation, I realized that I've got a lot of growing to do.

"It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery." Galatians 5:1
